Forty Year Celebration

Dear Robert,

Over four decades ago, I married the man you know as Bishop E.W. Jackson. He was a young Marine at the time, and I had no idea that his willingness to fight for our country would continue for a lifetime. He took off the Marine Corps uniform in 1973, but he continued to wear the uniform of a patriot.

The most dramatic turning point for his personal life and character was dedicating his life to God forty years ago this month. That changed everything for the better. That event is more responsible than anything else for him becoming the husband, father, patriot and courageous spokesman we've all come to know and love.

That's why in December of 2016 our church family - THE CALLED - and STAND are celebrating his forty years of walking with God.

My husband has said many times that America is a providential nation, not an accident of human history. His viewpoint is informed by his faith. That's how he managed to graduate from Harvard Law School, but as he loves to say, "I didn't drink the Kool-Aid." In the middle of his law school years, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and that made all the difference.

When I have had the chance to travel with him, it is so gratifying to hear others talk about how he inspires them. Well, I can tell you as his wife, what you see is what you get. He inspires because he truly is inspired. He also cares about the American people and the thousands who have encouraged him with their support and friendship. As his wife, I want to thank you as well. I have watched him be attacked, but I have never seen him waiver. I know that is in large part because of people like you. He is committed to never letting you down.

At our local church we are honoring him with testimonies about the impact he has had on the lives of others. I know many of you cannot be here, but you might like to encourage him. Your contribution of $40 would do just that. It's a small token, but it's not the amount, but the heart behind it.

We have always been a grassroots organization, but whether you can afford $400,  $4000  or only $4, I know he will be deeply appreciative.  [Click here to donate]. If you live in the Hampton Roads area, you already received an invitation to the Forty Year Celebration. We'll be at 943 Canal Drive in Chesapeake on Saturday at 6:00 pm and Sunday at 10 am and 3 pm. We would love to see you.

Thank you for supporting my husband, and God bless you.

Sincerely,

Theodora Jackson

Reminder - York County District 5 Town Meeting, October 11, 2016

Dear Neighbors,

Just a reminder.  Please join me for a York County District 5 Town Meeting on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, in the Tabb Elementary School Gymnasium.  The address is 3711 Big Bethel Road. The meeting will start promptly at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.

During the meeting I will provide an overview of District 5 so that you can see how your neighborhood fits into the County, Hampton Roads and the Commonwealth.  You will hear about public and private developments, including roads, and see Sheriff Department maps of crime reports and Fire Department maps of responses within our district.  Other topics include:  education, county government structure, update on public works, parks and recreation, and libraries.  If time allows, we will look at the economy, budgets and finance that may surprise you.

Yes, this is a lot to cover.  However, over the last 15 years residents tell me they leave the meeting with a much better understanding of what is going on around them.

Hope to see you on October 11th.

Regards,

Friends,

After talking with Tami Fitzgerald, I realized that each one of you needs to hear what she has to say about what is going on in the state of North Carolina. Tami Fitzgerald is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Values Coalition, which seeks to advance faith, family, and freedom from a Christian worldview by engaging Christians in voting, informing voters about which candidates share their values, and advancing public policies that create a culture in which human life is valued, marriage and families flourish, and religious liberty thrives. She is no stranger to opposition, yet her account of the battle she is fighting against the liberal, LGBT agenda in North Carolin is one that every Christian needs to hear.

.

Please join the call this Tuesday by calling
712-432-0900 and entering passcode 199176#.

For God & Country,

Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr.

Tami Fitzgerald .... is also the State Director for the Susan B. Anthony List, a Washington, DC pro-life organization that has conducted grassroots field operations in the 2014 and 2016 elections in North Carolina.

Ms. Fitzgerald has been a lobbyist in the North Carolina General Assembly since 2005, lobbying on many conservative issues, including pro-life issues, religious liberty, school choice, and family values.  She successfully lobbied the General Assembly to get the Marriage Amendment placed on the ballot in May of 2012 and then led the Vote FOR Marriage NC Referendum Committee as its Chairwoman, resulting in passing the Marriage Amendment by 61%.

Mrs. Fitzgerald is also an award-winning Allied Attorney for the Alliance Defending Freedom, a board member of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, and a member of the Council for the Constitutional Rights & Responsibilities Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
