2019 Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council (VPCCC) Monthly Meeting, Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 7PM

Greetings Car Buffs!!  
 
The Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council was founded to promote our hobby by collaboration amongst the various car clubs in our geographic area.  Our goals are to spread knowledge about our hobby and to provide a forum for you all to promote your specific club or business.

Our next membership meeting is this week coming, Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 7 PM.   The location is at our normal location at Thomas Nelson Community College, Hampton III Building.  525 Butler Farm Rd., Hampton, VA., 23666   (Just past the college's main campus)  

The meeting room is to the left of the Lobby, Room 717. Be sure to pass on to your family & friends and join us.  
 
We need YOU!!! to make our Council a continued success!!  Honesty, attendance has been dropping of late, and we would like to get the council delegates back to participating.  If you are not your clubs delegate, please let us know who is or who is the responsible officers.
  
Lots to discuss this week.  Also, please note that yearly dues are due, at a very cheap $20 year.  Businesses can join for $25 per year.

You’re Invited – Offshore Wind Town Hall at ODU May 28

I am delighted to announce the final program for our Offshore Wind Town Hall on May 28, 7pm at Old Dominion University's Ted Constant Center. This is an exciting opportunity you won't want to miss!

 
Speakers include: ODU President John Broderick; Thomas Brostrøm, President at Ørsted North America; Mark Mitchell, Dominion Energy; Chris Gullickson, The Port of Virginia; Hayes Framme, Ørsted; Craig Poff, Avangrid Renewables; George Hagerman, ODU; Jim Spore, ReInvent Hampton Roads; John Warren, Director, Virginia Dept. of Mines, Minerals and Energy, and; Jen Palestrant, The SMART Center for Maritime and Transportation Education, Tidewater Community College.
 
 
The OSW Town Hall will outline the strategy behind positioning Hampton Roads as a national leader in wind energy. The town hall also features updates about ODU's efforts to convene talented leaders and thinkers from industry, non-profit organizations, and government to address the many economic and energy opportunities presented by offshore wind. Best of all, the program will close with a discussion on ways YOU can take action to get these turbines spinning!
 
This exciting event is free and open to the public with plenty of parking in the garage across from the Ted.

The Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project is will be America’s first turbines in federal waters!
