A Letter

In a reflection occasioned by the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, it is necessary to acknowledge that we are a caring but irresponsible people. We have compassion for those less fortunate but, allow those seeking power to use our compassion to accomplish their ruling political goals by our failing in our responsibilities as citizens.

Obamacare is an instrument of the ruling Oligarchy. We have championed both political parties to lead us to this tragic moment.  We must now hold ourselves responsible in order to restore the basic concepts of the nation. But, if you wish us to remain seated beside Winston and Julia before the telescreen, you need do nothing.

What were the findings of the court?

1.      The Central Government cannot use the Commerce clause to mandate citizen behavior. The vote was (9 – 0)

2.       The Central Government cannot coerce the Sovereign States into acceptance of a Central Government proposal. (7 – 2)

3.      The Congress on behalf of the citizens of the nation, voted for this legislation, and it therefore represents the will of the people.

The Founders crafted the Legislative Branch of the Central Government, the Congress, in two parts. The House to debate proposed legislation between liberal and conservative interpretations of the Constitution. The Senate's underlying purpose was to insure that the Central Government did not exceed its enumerated powers. We have over time allowed the Oligarchy to usurp the power and the will of the people. The Chief Justice placed the responsibility for the acts of the Congress where it belongs; squarely at the feet of the American people.

When only half of the electorate is responsible enough to vote, the Oligarchy wins.

Seen this one before but based on the S-ruling yesterday - it is now even  more timely and oh so important.  If it is good for all of us - especially our Vets - then it sure as hell should apply to Congress, etc..

I challenge you to read this and NOT have the will to pass it on.

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the

U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get

50% of their pay on retirement. While Politicians hold their political positions

in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and

receive full-pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.

If each person who receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days,

most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is

one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall

make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply

equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law

that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to

the citizens of the United States ."

You are one of my 20+. I passed it on, will you?

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice," and these brave soldiers have given you that right!!

A Leter

The cry of rebellion against a repressive central government heard in Boston Harbor some 239 years ago can again be heard across the land. Then it was a king and a parliament far across the sea asserting rule over colonial second class citizens. Today, it is the elite Washington intellectual, financial and political Oligarchy asserting rule over "We the people".

Contrary to the propaganda gushing forth from both political stripes, the underlying issue is not jobs, debt, excessive spending, immigration, a bloated government, or even Obamacare. It is the role of the central government in our lives. Both political parties hold claim to the excesses of the central government. Both understand power and understand that with an unengaged electorate they are free to play among themselves at the expense of "We the people".

There are but two issues. Address them and the rest will follow. The Senate was created to be the voice of the sovereign states and has been reduced to a shill for one or the other of the national political parties. The tax code has become the private treasure trove of the Oligarchy stocked by "We the people". For their 2013 trove, the Oligarchy wants $12,000 from every man, woman and child in the United States. The math is easy; $3.6 Trillion budget and 300 Million people.

            Does anybody care?

A Letter

As we approach the 236th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, perchance we should reflect upon the most significant paragraph, the second. Those who care about their country know how it begins.

"We hold these truths to be self- evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness –"

This is not the same principle as articulated in the 1st Amendment Congressional probation regarding the establishment or exercising of a religion.

Men pledged "our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." to this fundamental principle in the character of the government and nation they were establishing. How do we do less today without striking at the heart of the nation?

If, we as a people succumb to the concepts put forth by those who do not hold belief in God and those who hold diversity over the Christian founding principles of the nation, we must also accept the tyranny of man.

We were founded as a Christian nation. Our Declaration of Independence cannot be more clear. If we today accept the premise that we are no longer a Christian nation, how do we assert claim to "certain unalienable rights"?

A Letter

In a just concluded primary election for Senator, here in Nelson County Virginia, only 567 of 10,824 registered voters participated. Only 685 participated in the earlier Presidential primary. There was a "BIG" turnout in the 2008 presidential election. A whole sixty some percent of the electorate cared enough to vote. The national political parties give us lip service and we don't care.

Is it any wonder then that politicians turn to those who do care; the other members of the elite ruling oligarchy? Who are these folks? First as always, the national political parties; then large multi-national corporate entities, large multinational banks, public sector unions and now we find large tax-exempt "charitable" organizations whose donors are secret. The oligarchy cares and rules. Is there any wonder "Main Street" gets ignored?

The concept of limited central government cannot be attained until the Senate again responds to the voices of their respective states. There should never be a "party line" vote in the Senate. That kind of vote represents the voices of national parties and not the citizens of the sovereign states. The federal tax code is the glue that holds the Oligarchy together. Its ability to reward the Oligarchy must be abolished, not tinkered with.

The voice of "We the people" is silenced with high sounding oratory meaning nothing. Our Founders recognized the nature of man and placed safe guards against this corruption in our Constitution. But, silver tongues and public disinterest allowed the 16th and 17th Amendments to be ratified in 1913. The corruption will continue unabated until "We the people" address these two underlying problems.

A Letter

I love these twisted political paths. Come walk with me.

On the third of September the coronation ritual for Miss. Hillary will begin. The political obituaries for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney were being composed several weeks ago. Obama's is ready for the presses; Romney's is not quite finished.

There is a far more important issue at stake than the legacies of these candidates. This issue must be placed squarely at the feet of the Tea Party. James Madison recognized the problem with political parties and the human desire for power. His creation of the two political power points in the Congress; the House to represent the interests of the central government with the people's ability to curb any excesses quickly and the Senate to advocate for the several sovereign states with tenure reflecting the stature of what it represents.

We are witnessing the baton of a political maestro conducting a funeral dirge. The final note will be played in Charlotte. But, what about Romney? His anti-Obama campaign will be gone and he must then deal with Miss. Hillary. If he attempts to continue on the same anti-Obama course, his shrouded press release will be ready for distribution on 7 November.

The Tea Party must reassert the role of the sovereign states in the conduct of the central government. If it fails, the nation will not have to wait a hundred years for the next tyrant to appear, we will have to wait but one election cycle. The Tea Party and Mr. Romney have but a few days to act.

A Letter

Our Constitution provided for two political power points; Hamilton's Central Government and Jefferson's Sovereign States. Ratification of the 17th Amendment in 1913, allowed the national political parties to directly affect the outcome of state Senatorial elections.  The result was a centralizing of all political power in Washington. Senators thereafter owed homage not to the citizens of their state but to their national party. This was not the prescribed Constitutional relationship within the Congress.

The Obama Administration has pushed the envelope so far in the direction of a dictatorship that the underlying elite ruling intellectual, financial and political oligarchy in the central government created by both political parties for their personal benefit has been exposed. One need look no further than the comparatively excessive salary and benefits obtained by the oligarchy's public service unions paid for by the taxpayer without taxpayer representation.

The Republican Party and, Mr. Romney in particular, must make a decision. The Republican Party has lost its political base in the central government to the Democratic Party. Is the Republican Party ready to submit to the embrace of the Tea Party and advocate for the intended political stature of the Sovereign States?

Likewise, the Tea Parties of all stripes must understand that to affect the change to a smaller central government, they must, in each state, restore the political posture of the sovereign states within the Congress. If they fail to remove from the control of the central government the collection of necessary tax monies and restore the constitutionally designated role of the Senate to represent the sovereign states, their efforts will be in vain.

RE: BOB MARSHALL HELP NEEDED RIGHT NOW

Frances,

You are right about Tuesday. So I’m going to include Saturday afternoon as a pole sign day. Don’t worry about pole signing on Tuesday. Work on getting signs up at polling places and be at the polls yourselves. Saturday pole signing should be from 10 am to about 4 pm. I would also suggest “dining out time” between 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Saturday is “date night.” Again, near the malls. Olive Garden, Outback Applebees and other popular chain restaurants cluster around the malls. I suggest going to a couple of different intersections successively, especially near shopping malls, Home Depots, Lowes, etc.  Saturday is a heavy shopping traffic day. On Tuesday I want everyone at a polling locations.

Anyone working a poll location until closing at 7 pm, be sure to pull the signs and take them home with you. We need to retrieve all the signs from all locations. We are going to get them over here to me. I have a storage shed at one of my rental properties for them to be stored.

Just try to hit key intersections and heavy traffic areas in Suffolk. Look for upper middle class or affluent looking residential neighborhoods. Nice shopping centers. Farm Fresh supermarkets over Food Lion. Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Again, look out for easements. If Radtke, Allen or Jackson have a sign there without being bothered, then put one there as well. Look for empty vacant lots on a major heavily traveled road. A sign will have solitary visibility there if you are far enough off the road surface to be clear of the public easement.

As for working the polls, only go to locations in Republican precincts. Refer to the ones identified earlier in Va. Beach and Chesapeake. I don’t know where they are in Suffolk. You need to find out. I’ll try to ask someone on the Suffolk Republican Committee. If we can’t identify the Republican poll locations there, then at least get the signs out in Suffolk and the pole signing done.

Hi Mike,

I can handle a bunch of Suffolk signs. (How many do you want in Suffolk?)  I'll try to recruit some folks to help me spread them out.   I'll have to drive around a little to see where I could put a bigger sign or two.  Also I can gather some of the signs on Monday night and put them at the Suffolk polling places.

And Louantha and I are two dedicated pole sign holders/wavers available Sunday and Monday.  Tuesday I had planned to spend the day at the polls - and I am flexible about which poll.  But I will do whatever you need me for the most.  And where do you need the sign holders/wavers?  I am in Suffolk, and Louantha is in Portsmouth.

Just let me know.

God bless,

in JMJ, Frances

Fellow Bob Marshall supporters (either real, potential, or imagined),

Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5th, I shall be receiving a shipment of 500 of the small 14’ x 22” red Bob Marshall standard yard signs with the planting wires. These will need to get put out far and wide across Tidewater … and quickly! I need all hands on deck right away as the election is only one week from right now!

I need you all to email me pronto and tell me how many you think you can get put out.

Now a word on putting them out. Obviously, we don’t have enough for them to go in people’s front yards, unless that yard is in a high visibility location with a lot of residential traffic going past it. If so, then go for it. Later, if we have  signs left over, then I’ll give the word to put them in front yards. Better that than not out at all.

Next, be very careful about placing them along public easements and right of ways. Some local government officials have been running around removing them without notice. York County is the worst to my knowledge so far. James City County seems to be the most lenient. Poquoson does allow signs on easements as long as they are not closer than 100 feet to an intersection and you have a permit. I have a permit for Poquoson.

I’ve placed signs at the major intersections in Poquoson already, but if a Peninsula volunteer wishes to go there and place a few signs deeper into some of the neighborhoods, feel free.

For Va. Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, we really need some folks who know their way around over there. The targeted Republican precincts in Va.Beach are in the northeast section of the city (Great Neck, Colony, Wolfnars, North Beach, Cape Henry, Lynnhaven, and Trantwood). The targeted Republican precincts in Chesapeake are in the southern part of that city (Hickory Grove, Bridgetown, Great Bridge Baptist, Hickory Middle School, and Pleasant Crossing). We have Chris Galosi in Portsmouth who will also be the distributor for all signs on the Southside of Hampton Roads. He will have the small yards signs as well as some 2’ x 4’ signs and the 4’ x 8’ signs. He also has wooden stakes and plastic zip ties. After you tell me how many you want, you then go to him and pick them up. His cell 3 is:  757-414-4050. Call him to make arrangements as to where and when to meet for the pickup. He lives in Portsmouth, but his office is near the ocean front in Va. Beach.

Frank Driscoll in Chesapeake is expected to have a couple of hundred of the small yard signs to put out and will need some help. His number is 757-406-8210.

I really need a go to person (leader) in Virginia Beach. Someone please call me!

Louantha or Frances … don’t one of you live in Suffolk? Can whoever that is help us there?

Anyone else on the Peninsula, Middle Peninsula and points north and west, call yours truly at (cell) 757-329-6879.

Next, and VERY IMPORTANTLY, I need to organize teams of 2 people each to hold pole signs at major identified intersections across Tidewater during morning and afternoon “rush hour” drive times. First of all, a pole sign is a very light weight furring strip (1” x 2” x 8 ft. long piece of wood) with 3 small red yard signs on it. Secondly, morning rush hour is 6 am to 9 am, and afternoon rush hour is 3:30pm to 6:30pm. A team of two would stand on opposite diagonal corners of the designated intersection and simply hold the sign up for motorist to see. It would be nice for you to include a “friendly wave.” You can even gently wave the pole sign a little. No yelling at cars, please!!!

I don’t want anyone standing at an intersection by themselves! Everyone must have a partner so you can look out for each other! The traffic waving events are scheduled for Sunday afternoon (June 10th) from 2pm to 5pm. Then Monday and Tuesday from 6-9am and 3:30-6:30pm each.

Again, please email me as soon as possible about placing signs as well as the sign waving events!

Next is the night before the election next Tuesday. All of you who put signs out must go gather some of them back up to place at voting locations for the election thee next day. Campaign manager Bob Allen is working on some sort of “sample ballot” to offer voters as they enter the polls. Will let you know how  that developes. Needless to say, any of you willing to work a poll for at least an hour or two would be hugely appreciated.

Listen gang … this turn out on Tuesday is expected to be miniscule, despite all our efforts. There is no telling how this vote will go, either. Anyone in any of the campaigns thinking they have this thing wrapped up is delusional. Every single vote is extremely critical. Therefore, any little “extra single thing” each and every one of you could do to bring in that “one extra vote” cannot be diminished in any way. Please do not dismiss any little effort you might consider as not needed or un important. It is!

Last, but not least, the final clean up. At 7 pm Tuesday evening after the polls close and on Wednesday, we must all go out and retrieve all the signs we put out. Bring them back to your back yards if possible. I’m working on a way now to gather them all up and put them somewhere.

To Bob M, Bob A, and Cathy … win, lose or draw, we need to know what to do with all these signs. Talk to me.

Mike Prunty

Regional Coordinator

RE: BOB MARSHALL HELP NEEDED RIGHT NOW

To all once again,

Would anyone over there be interested in being a coordinator for the pole sign events on the Southside? We’re going to concentrate them in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake in the identified precincts listed in the previous email, along with a few in Suffolk. I would need this person to take input from others and identify key traffic intersections in each of those areas, pair up the teams, and dispatch them to assigned intersections. We want them to wave at one intersection for about an hour and a half, and then move to another nearby intersection for the other hour and a half.

It would be best if we had a coordinator for Va.Beach, and one for Chesapeake, and perhaps a third for Suffolk. We only want to focus on intersection in targeted Republican leaning areas. A busy intersection in a Democratic area would obviously be a waste of time. I’m going to try to handle the entire Peninsula, some leadership help over there would be huge!

I have 16 pole signs made up so far, with 2 of them already assigned. I’m going to keep enough signs over here to make some more. As soon as I do, I’ll get them over there to Chris Galosi. I’ll try to send at  least 20 over there … more if possible and enough time. I also have to buy more furring strips.

Subject: BOB MARSHALL HELP NEEDED RIGHT NOW

Talk to me.

Re: BOB MARSHALL HELP NEEDED RIGHT NOW
