News from Donner For Senate

Tim Donner for US Senate
Virginia Voter's Forum - New Video
Is the "Drug War" fiscally conservative
Tim Donner videoOur question this week comes from Archie in Lansdowne, VA who asks, Tim, I'm tired of so called conservatives who are fiscally conservative, but think the government should be involved in enforcing all manner of restrictions on our private lives.  With that in mind, do you think the federal government's drug war should continue as it has?

Hampton Roads, Norfolk, VA Beach

My thanks to all you, particularly folks in Hampton Roads we got to see in our whirlwind trip there over the weekend. From Norfolk to Chesapeake to Virginia Beach, I had a great time meeting with influential leaders, involved citizens and small business owners, and discussing what changes you and I want to see in Washington.

Allen and Kaine
Let me repeat what I have been saying since the December 7 debate that included only George Allen and Tim Kaine at the exclusion of other primary candidates.

If I were a big $pender like George Allen running behind Obama's #1 cheerleader Tim Kaine in a demonstrably conservative state like Virginia, I might not want people to hear from a candidate like me either.  After all, because of Allen's record of voting in support of massive new federal spending programs during his six years in the senate, even a leftist Democrat and major Obama ally like Kaine was able to position himself as more conservative than Allen on the central issue of the 2012 campaign - fiscal responsibility!

You'll be happy to hear we didn't let the indignity of being excluded from that debate stop us from connecting with activist conservatives ready for new leadership.  I had a great time meeting with the ladies of the Hampton Roads Republican Women's Club, the VA 99th Tea Party on the Northern Neck and many small business owners desperate for substantive change in Washington.

I even got the chance to speak with Santa and ask for fiscal responsibility from Congress for Christmas!

Moving Forward!

It is heartening to see more and more prominent conservatives across the Commonwealth capturing the essence of our campaign.  For example:

"Tim Donner has captured a larger part of the heart-and-soul of the Tea Party movement than any of the other challengers."  These were the kind words of blogger Shaun Kenney at Virginia's leading conservative blog, Bearing Drift following on the heels of what Bearing Drift founder JR Hoeft wrote about me this week, click HERE to read.

I appreciate the support of the many activists and Tea Party folks I have met over the campaign.  However, there are a number of people, too many people, throughout the Commonwealth who are suspending judgment on this race for the U.S. Senate.  While I appreciate that a rush to judgement is not wise, now is the time to take a stand

One Challenger is the Key!

It is time, beyond time for us to UNITE behind one challenger to the establishment candidate--one challenger who possesses intellect, skill, accomplishment, judgment and the ability to communicate...the candidate who is the most principled, best represents your values, is not weighed down with political baggage, is in a sound financial position, and, importantly, who can appeal enough to general election voters to defeat Tim Kaine next November.  I hope you will agree  that I am that candidate..and I ask for your support.

As Yogi Berra once said, it gets late early around here...so act now before it's too late!

THE REAL PROBLEM
THE REAL PROBLEM

If you haven't had the chance to meet me personally or hear me speak, please click on the images to the right and check out two new videos we have recently released:

The Real Problem focuses on the underlying problem in politics and how true citizen legislators are the answer to many of our nation's woes.

RIGHT FOR THE TIMES
RIGHT FOR THE TIMES

Right for the Times delves into what it does and does not mean to be a conservative circa 2011/12.

Thanks again for another exhilarating week.  I hope to see you sometime soon, and remember - If you want a principled, capable and electable alternative to an establishment that doesn't care what you think, please donate TODAY by clicking HERE.

Thank you, and may God continue to shed his grace on this great land of ours.

Yours in Liberty,

Tim Donner
