York County District 5 Town Meeting, October 11, 2016

Dear Neighbors,

Please join me for a York County District 5 Town Meeting on October 11, 2016, in the Tabb Elementary School Gymnasium.  The address is 3711 Big Bethel Road. The meeting will start promptly at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.

It has been nearly two years since the last District 5 Town Meeting and it’s time for an update.  During the meeting I will provide an overview of District 5 so that you can see how your neighborhood fits into the County, Hampton Roads and the Commonwealth.  You will hear about public and private developments, including roads, and see Sheriff Department maps of crime reports and Fire Department maps of responses within our district.  Other topics include:  education, county government structure, update on public works, parks and recreation, and libraries.  If time allows, we will look at the economy, budgets and finance that may surprise you.

Yes, this is a lot to cover.  However, over the last 15 years residents tell me they leave the meeting with a much better understanding of what is going on around them.

Finally, I am looking for help in delivering nearly 3,000 meeting flyers.   Please email me, if you would like to help deliver flyers within your neighborhood.

Hope to see you on October 11th.

Don't Miss Conservative Activist Waverly Woods at Tuesday's Tea Party Meeting 7:00 PM, Ruritan Center

Lyn Neira's press release for the appearance of Conservative Activist
Waverly Woods at next Tuesdays Tea Party meeting was published in last
Thursdays Rappahannock Record. Our founding fathers believed that the
survival of the new nation would require an informed and active
citizenry. The election of Barack Obama sent each of us a strong
message indicating that many were not well informed and even fewer
were actively monitoring and influencing our government. Tea Parties
sprang up in response with a mission to educate and motivate our
citizens to become activists in the movement to restore our Republic.
Waverly, who has been singularly effective in this effort and is a
fantastic speaker, is not to be missed. Read the complete Press
Release at the Enclosure in case you missed Tuesdays paper. See each
of you Tuesday night at 7:00 PM at the Upper Lancaster Ruritan Club
located at 3989 White Chapel Rd (Route 201) in Lancaster, Virginia

Waverly Woods was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. where her
family still lives. She is a mother, a former small business owner of
20 years, and solid conservative. She became an activist when Barack
Obama became president. She joined the Republican Party and many
conservative groups looking for a way to restore our Republic with no
prevail until Waverly found the TEA Party.

She has been a TEA Party leader with the Hampton Roads TEA Party for 5
years, Vice Chair, and Events Chair with the Virginia TEA Party
Patriots Federation for 2 years. She has also been a Heritage Action
Sentinel for 4 years. Waverly has attended many conferences and
training's with Heritage Action, Leadership Institute, and Campaign
for Liberty.

While supporting our constitution and conservative values, she has
worked on numerous campaigns. EW Jackson for Senate and LG, then John
Moss for VB city council and most notably, Dave Brat for Congress.
Currently Waverly is a grassroots consultant and works statewide for
conservative causes and candidates.

I need your help Robert

You know that all of my life, I have worked hard to try to make a difference for the community whenever there has been a need.

A few months ago, I saw Donald Trump and his allies tearing our country apart with ignorance and bigotry and I could not just sit by and do nothing. So I stepped up to run for Congress and am proud that I am now the Democratic nominee for Virginia's 2nd Congressional District.

This district is an open seat and one of the most competitive in the country. Mitt Romney won the district by a very small margin four years ago and with the Clinton/Kaine ticket's current lead in the Commonwealth, it is a true toss-up.

Our campaign is about bringing folks together so we can all rise together. In Congress, my primary focus will be serving as the unofficial "chief economic development director" for Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach and the Eastern Shore. I will hustle to use every resource and tool at my disposal to create more good paying jobs in our communities.

This race is going to be very close and I need your help to get our message out to the undecided voters. We have a great team in place to take us to victory on November 8th with over thirty years of experience in political campaigns and fighting for important causes.

Can you please help me make a difference and support the campaign with a contribution today?

Thank you,

Shaun Brown
Democratic Nominee
Virginia's 2nd Congressional District
