Incognito
This Week's Top Pick

Do you have a passion for love and wine that can't be suppressed? No need to be incognito about the situation, but you should consider attending this Incognito event. Held at Norfolk's D'Art Center on Saturday, January 12, Incognito, New Art, New Wine is a wine tasting and art sale unlike any you've attended in the past. Patrons will purchase an art piece for the modest sum of $113 without knowing who the artist is until after the purchase. Interested in going to the event? Scroll down to see how you could win a pair of tickets!

Georgetown
This Weekend's Top Getaway

When was the last time you shook your fist in the air, set your foot down and hollered out, "By George, I need a vacation!"? Well, we're not certain who this George fellow is, but perhaps he can be found during a visit to Georgetown. This adorable 18th-century port town is surrounded by a slew of trendy restaurants, designer shops and lively bars plus picturesque gardens, historic house museums and a healthy helping of political intrigue. Peruse the Parish Gallery, a renowned home for local and international artists. Dine at Sequoia and try one of their grand seafood towers, pleasing to the sight as well as the palate. Your visit won't be complete without a trip to Georgetown Cupcake, where they make cupcakes fresh daily using only the finest ingredients. After you've achieved a sweet satisfaction, have some sweet dreams at The Georgetown Inn, a full-service, sophisticated boutique hotel complete with upscale furnishings, deluxe amenities and a sumptuous breakfast served in The Daily Grill.

Husband's Healing Stew
This Week's Recipe

Cold and flu season is upon us, and we all have that one recipe that we reach for when we need a bit of comfort. Chicken noodle is all well and good, but to really boost your immune system, you need some good, old fashioned veggies in your diet. This recipe for Husband's Healing Stew is healthy enough for her, hearty enough for him and heavenly enough to enjoy on any winter evening, whether or not you're feeling under the weather.

American Virgin
This Week's Drink
You're dieting, you're exercising and you're feeling great, but then there's those last five pounds that don't seem to want to budge. Believe it or not, the culprit calories could be coming from what you're drinking, not what you're eating. Skip the booze for a couple weekends and instead order this American Virgin "mocktail" next time you're out with friends. It's peachy, fizzy, refreshing and--you're going to love this part--it only has 34 calories!

This Week's Giveaway  Incognito 2
You don't have to live "incognito" to have a true appreciation for good art and good wine, but you should consider attending D'Art Center's Incognito event next Saturday, January 12. This annual wine and champagne tasting reception accompanies a benefit art sale with a surprising twist--the artists' names are withheld until after their art piece is purchased! Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy tasting international wines and champagnes, listening to Jim Newsom Jazz Quartet and sampling delicious tapas. Click here to be automatically entered to win a pair of tickets!
