In addition to serving as Chief of Naval Operations, his major assignments include Vice Chief of Naval Operations from 2009 to 2011; Commander of Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk from 2007 to 2009; and Commander of the U.S. 7th Fleet from 2004 to 2006.  "Admiral Greenert has dedicated his life to the service of his country, culminating in four years as the highest-ranking officer in the U.S. Navy," Congressman Forbes said.
