Local Chambers of Commerce Recognize Forbes for Pro-Jobs, Pro-Business Record

Washington, D.C. – This week, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce held local award ceremonies on June 1, 2016 honoring Congressman Forbes for his unwavering support of job growth and free enterprise. Congressman Forbes was awarded the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's "Spirit of Enterprise Award" for his work to promote and pass pro-jobs and pro-business policies, as reflected by his voting record during the first legislative session of the 114th Congress.
"Throughout our country's history, it has been the individual who powers America -- individual workers, individual businesses, and individual jobs," said Congressman Forbes. "Today, it is still the collective power of that workforce that creates the backbone of our American economy. That's why I've made working to empower our job creators a priority of mine as I serve in Congress. We need to get Washington out of the way, and empower American entrepreneurs to light up the economy again."
