A Letter

  

            As "We the people" grapple with the question of how to vote in November, perchance we should consider the cause of the strong feelings associated with this election. I would hold that it is not contraception, high gas prices or the economy. It is the realization of how imprisoned we, as a people, have become. We are no longer governed; we are ruled by an elite Oligarchy.

            Some 2000 years ago, man- made institutions, both religious and secular, had positioned themselves between the children and their Father. God reaffirmed the bond between a Father and His children.

 The cry to battle in the preamble to this nation's Declaration of Independence, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." articulated God's relationship to this nation's children. It is no accident that in the crafting of the Constitution that the Federal Government was only given certain enumerated powers.

            Men, under the guise of "doing good" have again placed ruling institutions between the Father and His children. This election is merely a vehicle by which the children can begin to reaffirm their free and self-responsible relationship to their Father. The persona and political affiliation of the candidates are not relevant. The single mandate is the obligation to remove the barriers and reestablish the "self-evident truths".

            His children are speaking. The election question is simple. Which candidate is listening?

VCDL will again have a family POT LUCK picnic at

Longwood Park
611 E Main Street
Salem, VA
(shelter at the top of the hill)

Early birds will start arriving at 10 AM -- food to be served at 11 AM.
Please bring a dish of your favorite food to share with others. VCDL
will furnish plates, eating sticks, drinks, cups, paper napkins and ice
for the drinks.

There is a small playground for our younger family members close by the
shelter and restrooms are very close.

Please RSVP to salempicnics@vcdl.org with the number in your group
attending so we can plan on the proper quantity of items to have. This
event is open to all VCDL members, families and guests.

There is NO cooking grill at the shelter site.

Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club (RRRC) will again host the VCDL-RRRC
Defensive Pistol Shoot. This event is open to all who wish to attend.
Shooter sign in starts at 9 AM -- shooting to start at 10AM. A free
hot dog lunch will be at 1:30 PM. SPONSORS are being sought for this
event !!

More details will be posted closer to the shoot date.

Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown will be holding their annual Free Cone Day.  100% of all donations collected will be contributed to the Lackey Free Clinic in Yorktown, the HELP Clinic in Hampton, and the Gloucester- Mathews Clinic.  These facilities offer free medical care, dental care and prescriptions to the uninsured.  Ben & Jerry's is located at 332 Water St., Bldg. Yorktown Battlefield
Reenactment artillery units representing American artillery from the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s will help commemorate the 150th anniversary of Yorktown's role in the 1862 Civil War Peninsula Campaign.  New exhibits telling Yorktown's Civil War history will open at the Yorktown National Cemetery Lodge. A Letter

                       The President says that we are producing more oil than ever before and domestic demand is down. So, considering use of the Strategic Oil Reserves and the heralding of new out year higher fuel efficiency standards are not relevant topics. The commodity markets see higher out year global demand and Middle East supply concerns and, nudge the price a little higher anticipating problems in the near future. This is a right and proper reaction by the markets. Are they making a bet? Yes, but that is what the market is all about. If you want to put your money on the table you can play too.

                       And finally, the money supply. According to Federal Reserve data, the M1 account, the money we play with, was at $1,864.7 Billion in January 2009. By January 2012, the supply had grown to $2,679.8 Billion. The Federal Reserve by the purchase of Treasury debt had increased the M1 account by printing another $833.1 Billion.

                       We unwashed and uneducated in the fine points of politics see this as 44% decrease in the value of the dollars in our pockets. We, the American people, know this as inflation. The reported change in the Consumer Price Index of a few percent is a farce. Perchance the Ruling Oligarchy loves inflation. The value of the debt in dollars is less. The competiveness of the Oligarchy's multi-national companies love it as the price of their products overseas is more competitive. But, what about the non-multinational company? What about the American people?

                       The Oligarchy does not govern, it rules.

A Letter

In the days before the ratification of the 16th and 17th Amendments in 1913, the debate in the Congress between the House and the Senate was a debate between advocates of the central government and advocates of the sovereign states. The powers of the central government were severely constrained by the limited enumerated powers prescribed in the Constitution. The House, quite properly on behalf of the Federal government, advocates a more expansive Federal Government role. This requires a more liberal interpretation of the Constitution. The Senate, in the days before 1913, was the advocate for the role of the several states in the governance of the nation. This was accomplished by a conservative interpretation of the Constitution limiting the expansion of federal power.

            Since 1913, both national political parties have embraced the elite Ruling Oligarchy and improperly influence the elections in both the House and Senate. Both sides of the debates are now represented by advocates of the central government.

            Today, the Supreme Court is not conservative or liberal based upon the governance postures of the central government and the sovereign states. The justices are viewed as conservative or liberal depending upon the nominating political party and its political agenda.

            The ratification of the 16th and 17th Amendments destroyed the balance of power between the several states and the central government. This reconfiguration of the Constitution has similarly distorted the role of the Executive and Supreme Court branches of our Federal Government.

            If those who call themselves conservatives do not recognize and act to restore this balance of power in the Congress by addressing this underlying problem, their good intentions to restore the voice of the people will be short lived and in vain.

Tea Party Members

 

My dear friends,

 

 

 I have come to a point in my life were I need to evaluate my focus and direct my time and energy. I am going to work with the concerned citizens groups who fight back the encroachment of UN Agenda 21 and for property rights. York County with their Collaborative Comprehensive Planning and their tax hikes have proven that they need close scrutiny, and I will be there.

 

            Remember the Republican primary is June the 12th; and the elections are in November and everyone must do everything they can to turn this ship! As the midterm elections in 2010 showed YOU CAN DO THIS! You have worked hard to learn the skills and possess the drive to accomplish that task.

 

            You are in good hands with Carl Anderson, the newly elected Chair for the Republican Hampton City Committee, and Lynda Fairman, the newly elected Chair for Republican York County Committee, proven leaders in the Republican Committees; who ran proudly leading with their Tea party involvement. With these two and the two add ional co-planners you can accomplish much.

 

 

Gail will facilitate a transfer of the assets to a named representative as soon as possible. I will forward you a new contact email for Peninsula Tea Party as soon as I receive it. Anything that you send to the gmail account will come to me and I will send you my personal account information.
